I am bying the ipod 4 but love the iphone 4 form factor. I am not going to go out and buy and iphone so I was wondering what case would work with the ipod 4mto make it feel like the iphone 4.

Thanks for the review. I was considering getting a Shuffle, but now that you mention it, maybe I'll get both the Mini and Shuffle :D I need a flash drive, too, so that probably makes sense.

From a financial standpoint, I think he'd be wasting his money, spending extra for a pressure sensitive kybd.
It's not like there is a lack of small, affordable keyboards, even with velocity-sensitivity. Take the Korg Nanokey for example. To be honest I think it would be harder finding a quality keyboard that isn't pressure sensitive...

Would I notice any bump in speed for graphics programs? (My desktop has been reliable but occasionally quirky).I was using a 12" 1.33GHz PB and then got the 20" 2.0GHz iMacG5... I only do a mild bit of photoshop fiddling and I could notice a definite difference.
I love this machine, *sigh* I'm typing on it right now! I would definitely recommend it.

That iMac model is perfect for your needs. Its specs out of the box will fulfill all of your needs using aperture, lightroom and similar apps. When you evolve to advanced photo editing at the photoshop level, with large RAW FILES, and bulk processing, you and your mac will apprecite a ram upgrade to 8-16 gigs. My 2009 27" i5 just literally dropped dead after 14 months if 10/4 use in my office, so I'm replacing it with that exact model. Most bang for the buck. Excellent resale.

I find often times the store makes the bundles. Pisses me off to no end. I do not mind if MS throws the game in for free but like you I hate bundles.
I know with the Wii it was the stores making the bundles making you buy all the extra games for it. After that I have noticed that they tend to do it more and more often so people will just settle and buy the bundles.

I've been trying to get an iphone since it came out last Thurs. I didn't preorder so no luck. Just yesterday I went to a local ATT store and tried to get one as a walk in. They sold out shipment one and two in 5 minutes. They asked if I'd like to preorder one and that it'd take 7-10 business days to get here. I decided to do so. Today I already got a confirmation that my phone has shipped from Texas. Estimated delivery date to the ATT store is tomorrow! (overnight delivery) So it seems that the 7-10 days may really turn out to be 2 days. I'm crossing my fingers.....we'll see tomorrow.

I'm making a new start and would like to pursue a passion of mine that's been put on the burner for some time now which is music production. Is there a relatively cheap intermediate level USB keyboard that I can get to learn programming music on? I don't want one of those 108 keys that span across my desk but more a mini one. I'm into progressive/deep house music.

I'd give it a 9. The only knock against it being the ability to get in and mod it easily. I come from the PC world where I built my own machines and constantly tweaked and upgraded them over time. I've had my current iMac for 4 years and just ordered another of the new ones. They are incredibly powerful for an all-in-one and it just works. As it turns out I didn't really need to do much modding except for RAM, which is easy. I've had absolutely no problems with my current iMac. Wife is getting that one and my 7 yr old is getting her MacMini.

I've searched and tried every "fix" I've found on the internet to no avail. Time Machine keeps giving me the error "Unable to complete backup. An error occurred while creating the backup folder."
I'm using an external USB 2.0 drive. I've reformatted the drive, I've repaired it, and I've added the drive to the "privacy" setting for finder since some people claimed that was the problem. I've done everything I can find on internet searches. Another important note is that whenever this happens, I'm unable to eject the drive normally. If I restart, it seems like the first backup runs fine.
At this point I THINK this is related to the machine going to sleep during a backup. I've read that that is a problem too and if I've got a process running (hadbrake encodes) the backup will run multiple times in a row without error. But as soon as that process completes the next backup fails.
If this is the case this is a major bug for crying out loud. How can I set my machine to never go to sleep at this point (Mac Mini running latest version of SL) so I can at least test. And if this ends up being the case, shame on Apple for such a blatant bug!

I preordered, personally. I'm looking forward to getting
home from work and having my family pack already there without having to go wait in line. Launch day purchases can be fun for new products, but it hasn't been very long since getting my iPhone and somehow waiting for a DVD doesn't seem that exciting. :)

Well I just broke down and bought the Kinect bundle and spent $100 more than I wanted to, but oh well. I'll give it a shot and if I hate it as much as I think I will I'll just sell it or something.
