Hello everyone,
I would like to now how i could use FTP with Blogger. All i have is my PowerBook. I don't know anything about anything when it comes to this stuff. But i would like to put something together like the Mike Mata's Blog (http://www.mikematas.com) Thanks ~Spario

The iMac is going to be faster than the MacPro. Which I think is pretty sad. The MacPro will give you more expansion opportunities, but if you don't need them it's a moot point. You could throw on a Promise RAID hooked into Thunderbolt and get extremely fast transfer speeds. I would get the iMac and start saving for the next major upgrade in the MacPro line. I wouldn't buy any current Mac that didn't have Thunderbolt.
Not only will the iMac be faster, but it will also use a heck of a lot less electricity. A MacPro along with a monitor will draw 1,300-1,500 watts running hard. Think a small space heater on high. An iMac about 200-250 watts. Maybe you don't pay for the electricity, but the MacPro is a very power hungry beast.

I've been using Keynote lately for work presentations. It's annoying not to be able to give them to PC co-workers. PPT such a piece of crap, and i'd like to be able to use keynote more, but sadly it's not super useful anywhere other than my computer.

Because they are using the illegal tethering issue to force people off grandfathered unlimited data plans. And to collect the legal tethering fees. You just put a block on there and they've got no leverage.

9. What does the settlement provide?
NVIDIA has agreed to provide a replacement of the NVIDIA GPU or MCP to Class Members who purchased certain versions of some Dell, Inc. or Apple Inc. notebook computers that contain an NVIDIA chip and who send in a valid Claim Form and appropriate supporting documentation.
NVIDIA has also agreed to provide a fund in the amount of $2,000,000 to provide reimbursements if you purchased a version of one of the notebook computer models identified in the Full Notice that contains an NVIDIA GPU or MCP during the dates listed in the Full Notice experienced certain identified symptoms, and have appropriate documentation proving that you paid to have the notebook computer repaired. The amount of reimbursement may depend on the number of reimbursement claims received.

If you've never used Cydia or TinyUmbrella to cache her iPad's SHSH files, having the 4.2.1 firmware on-hand will do you no good, as (I believe?) Apple has already stopped signing the 4.2.1 firmware.
If that's the case, you can only restore to 4.3.

Perhaps Lion will cost relatively little, such as the Snow Leopard upgrade.
Possible, but highly unlikely. Apple did this before with 10.1 for 10.0 owners (Since 10.1 was what 10.0 shouldve been, and 10.6 is what ideally 10.5 shouldve been) - Id expect it going back to $129, since its a full release instead of an improved Snow Leopard.

Even before I ordered my mac I knew I would need extension cables for the ACD because I read posts on how short the monitor's cables were and also saw it in the local Apple store. I contacted Dr. Bott to confirm their mDP cable supported audio passthrough.
FWIW: I bought my Dr. Bott cables from here:

I got it from Mac-Pro because (a) they were hard to get at the time (even Dr. Bott itself didn't have any, which apparently is the case even now -- just checked the 2m on their site (http://www.drbott.net/product/9378-MDEB/)) and (b) I found a bunch at Mac-Pro which is fairly close to where I live. Heh, the price there now looks a buck or two cheaper then I paid at the time!
Editorial: Many of the ads for these kind of cables are, IMO, incomplete since they also come with USB. So when they advertise the cable supports audio (generally they say "Audio and video passthrough" if they say anything at all) you can't tell for sure if the mDP supports audio in addition to the USB which of course supports audio. So what I do when faced with ambiguities is contact the manufacturers directly.
At least Monoprice, my preferred (first choice) place for ordering cables, is honest to say up front that their mDP cables don't support audio. They're a great place to order cables if the cables fulfill you needs.

I also got a 27acd .. nice monitor .. kinda miss the 30acd i used to have but decided to get the 27 instead. I have no idea why apple makes these cables so damn short. I might pick up a second monitor so i guess i will need two sets.

Older 27" iMacs feature video-in, you can connect PS3 to it using something like Kanex XD (it is $150 device tho'). 2011 iMac doesn't have such port, but my guess is that you should be able to use TP as video-in. However, that's just my guess. I'd contact Kanex with this kind of question.

Aren't there just some springy clips that you need to push in on either side of the rear, then you just pull up on the cover (from very distant memory and corroborated by this instructable http://www.instructables.com/id/Replace-an-Apple-IIGS-clock-battery/).
Remove the cover. You already know how to do this–just push in the locking buttons located on either side of the back of the case, and pull up gently on the cover.

I bought one of these for my G5, love it. Looks cool and has very nice action, I seem to fly on this board! 2 USB ports (one at each end). Pretty cheap too.... $39 at Newegg I think. It gets my vote. :D
