I just got notice that my cards have been sent for production for my family and I with the exception of my 3 year old son. They have asked for an RFE for him. Has anyone come across this issue? I assume its something basic like photo or updated medical?? Please help.

Thanks for the link.. I looked up my case and the status shows as "CERTIFIED-EXPIRED". Any idea why it shows as "EXPIRED".. I applied for labor on Oct16, 2007, labor approved on Dec 3 07, I140 applied on April 8th( within 180 days ), I140 Approved on July 28. Just wondering if this is something i should be concerned about..

I think, if you don't have labor doc, you can go to FLCDataCenter.com (http://www.flcdatacenter.com/) and search for MS Access document for the year when you file for the labor. If you have the number from the LC doc, search for that number in the access file and you will find the details of your case.

Hi All,
Friends, I have few questions regarding EB2 category and need your help & advice.
What are the requirements to file GC under EB2 category? I know USCIS needs 4 years degree. But I am Commerce graduate (3 years) from India and with over 11 years of IT experience, am I eligible for EB2? Can I use my experience to make up for 1 year. If not, can you suggest 1 yr. online degree (acceptable to USCIS) to be eligible for EB2.

My PD is Dec 2005 (EB2) and I'm on EAD. I dont know when I'll get the GC but hoping that I'll get it in the next year. I already got an RFE so I'm not expecting another one. The question is, if I get laid off now, can I buy a business (say a convenience store or a subway) and run it (while on EAD)? and would it cause any problems now or in the future when applying for citizenship? I know you have to work in same or similar industry, but my industry is hard hit with recession and I don't think I can find a similar job. So how will they enforce this? Or do they even care?

Whenever there is a tech system upgrade, especially of this magnitude, there are bound to have glitches, problems, etc...I wonder how smoothly the integration will go. Hi,
I am on H1B visa. My parents due to a medical condition cannot take care of themselves. They need someone to be present with them 24 hrs a day. Can I get them on H4 visa as dependent? I would like to keep them for 2-3 years in US and take care of them. Please let me know my options.

Parents are not considered dependents . So i am not sure they can come on H4 visa. I can understand the situation ( being the only son of my parents with deteriorating health ). Once in a while i think of getting rid of this stay in USA and heading back home and caring for the ones who raised me to adult hood.
There may be more avenues , let more knowledgeable people in this forum comment.

My son is a US citizen/passport holder and we are planning on applying for a PIO for him at the SFO consulate. I have the following questions on how he could use the PIO card
1. How can he use the PIO card to enter and exit India?
a. Does he simply show the PIO card, US passport to enter and exit India?
2. Incase if the PIO card processing takes a lot of time I know that he can apply for visa. I was wondering anyone has experience on how visa could be applied if PIO processing takes a long time at the SFO consulate.
a. Do they return the PIO application and its supporting documents before visa could be applied?
b. Should a new visa application+visa supporting documents need to be resent for getting a Indian visa?
For PIO Usually it takes two weeks if you go personally. They will will tell you the date upfront. For PIO They do not take original passport. Hence you can apply for the visa even two days before departure.
Just FYI While applying for PIO or Visa both mom and dad needs to sign otherwise they will send it back.

How long has it been that you filed for I-140 ? Has it been approved yet.
I think you can move on to another company only after the I-140 has been approved and it has been more than 180 days . USCIS mails the approval notice to the company/attonery who filed on your behalf.

The bill looks good on paper. My problem is that it also contains giving the same rights to 'gays'. I personally am not opposed to that but it should not happen that the conservatives in the house & senate take an objection & eventually defeat this bill.

If you have copy of approved I-140, then your priority date would be mentioned there.
